MIAMI, Fla. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving remained unbeaten on the season Saturday morning, defeating both Florida International and Miami (Fla.). With today's win, the Crimson improved to 4-0 overall on the season. Harvard topped Miami (4-2) by a score of 189.5–108.5 and cruised past FIU (1-5), 217–81, behind a balanced performance across swimming and diving events.
How It Happened
- The Crimson set the tone immediately, opening the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay as the team of Anya Mostek, Aliana Marakovic, Kiley Wilhelm, and Blythe Wieclawek touched first.
- Alexandra Bastone led the distance events, capturing first place in the 1,000 freestyle and later winning the 500 free, while Harvard also placed multiple swimmers in the top three of both races.
- Harvard swept the podium in the 100 breast, led by Stephanie Iannaccone, followed closely by Marakovic and Gabi Augustyn.
- In the butterfly events, the Crimson dominated again, highlighted by Hazel Mouhidin's victory in the 200 fly and Kiley Wilhelm's win in the 100 fly.
- Anya Mostek delivered a standout performance with victories in both the 100 back and 100 free, anchoring Harvard's success in the sprint events.
