CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Joe Miller opened the scoring against the nationally ranked Terriers but a two-goal second period from BU was the difference in a 4-1 loss on Monday night at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. The Terriers added two empty netters with time expiring in the third to secure their 11
th win of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Joe Miller who has been hot in recent weeks opened the scoring after going low blocker on the Terriers netminder to give Harvard the lead in the early goings. Assisted by
Ryan Fine and
Mason Langenbrunner, Miller is up to five goals on the year.
Ben Charette was tested early but he made his best save of the period on a partial breakaway to keep the score where it was.
The Terriers scored twice in the second, once off a shot from the slot and another off a deflection in front. The Terriers took the 2-1 lead into the third period.
Harvard had a power-play in the third period but was unable to convert. The Terriers would go on to add two goals with the empty net.
