Wrestling Defeats Binghamton, Falls Short Against No. 22 Cornell On The Road

ITHACA, N.Y. – Harvard wrestling continued its dual meet slate in Upstate New York this afternoon and evening, as the Crimson secured a dominant 30-13 win against Binghamton to end the day after falling short against No. 22 Cornell at the start of the action.

Harvard 11, No. 22 Cornell 31

In its Ivy League opener, Harvard squared off the Big Red, as the Crimson held its own against a highly touted Cornell squad on the road. The Crimson's clash with the Big Red started off with a pair of wins at 125-pounds and 133-pounds and ended with a victory at 197-pounds.

At 125-pounds, sophomore Logan Brzozowski started the Crimson off on a high note, taking down Cornell's Ernie Perry via a technical fall. A native of Whippany, New Jersey, Brzozowski's triumph against the Big Red marks his fourth dual win this season and second via technical fall this year.

Harvard carried the momentum into 133-pounds, as junior Coleman Nogle grinded out a 3-2 win via decision against Cornell's Bret Ungar. One of Harvard's team captains this season, Nogle earns his third win of the year in Ithaca, as all three of his wins have arrived during the duals slate. A native of Laurel, Maryland, Nogle is now 2-2 in matches decided via decision this year.

Sophomore Hudson Skove also earned a win against the Big Red, defeating Carson Grace at 197-pounds via decision, 5-2. Skove tallied his fourth win of the year, with three of them now arriving during the dual meet slate.

Harvard 30, Binghamton 13

Harvard was dominating from the get-go against the Bearcats, as the Crimson rattled off six-straight victories to start its match against Binghamton.

After earning the win against Cornell, Brzozowski was once again stellar on the mat, picking up a 4-2 decision win against Carson Wagner to put the Crimson in the driver's seat. Propelled by a takedown in the third period, Brzozowski earned his fifth in the dual season and is now 11-10 this season. Seven of Brzozowski's 11 wins this year have arrived via decision.

Nogle picked up his second win of the day in the Empire State in convincing fashion, dropping Dillon Arrick by way of an 8-0 major decision victory. The victory against the Bearcats marks Nogle's first major decision win of the season as he is now 4-3 this season.

No time was wasted in the 141-pound match between senior Dante Frinzi and Ryan Hartung, as Frinzi pinned his opponent just moments into the contest. A native of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Frinzi is now 7-11 this season and 2-2 in dual meets, as this is his third win via fall during the 2025-26 campaign.

A 2024 NCAA Championships qualifier, senior Jack Crook continued the Crimson's dominant run, dispatching Binghamton's Caleb Sweet via technical fall at 149-pounds. One of Harvard's captains this season, this marks Crook's second technical fall win of the season as the Tampa, Florida native is 7-6 this season.

One of the standouts for the Crimson this year, senior Jimmy Harrington battled for a 5-2 decision win at 157-pounds against Fin Nadeau. Harrington leads all Crimson in wins this season, improving his record to 14-5 this year. Hartington is now 9-2 in matches decided by decision this year.

Another pin arrived for the Crimson at 165-pounds, as junior Joseph Cangro executed a perfect move to secure the win against Jordan Brown via fall. A native of Woodland Park, New Jersey, Cangro earns his 10th win of the year and his third win via fall this season as well.

Harvard's scoring against the Bearcats concluded at 184-pounds, as junior Matthew Walsh picked up an 8-5 decision victory against Will Ebert. Walsh's triumph against Ebert marks his eighth win of the year.
