CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis (3-2) wrapped up its weekend in the Midwest going 1-1 against Wisconsin and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Crimson fell 4-0 to Wisconsin in the opening match on Saturday but then bounced back this morning with its own sweep over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
How it Happened vs. Wisconsin
The Crimson provided the first victory of the day against the Badgers as
Kavya Karra and
Stephanie Yakoff upset the No. 5 nationally ranked doubles team, Maria Sholokhova and Lucie Urbanova (Wisconsin). It was a convincing win for the former NCAA qualifiers as they defeated the Badgers' duo, 6-2, on the top court.
Despite the victory from Harvard's No. 1 doubles team, Wisconsin won the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 wins on court two and three.
The Badgers continued their strong play in singles, rattling off wins on court one, three, and four to secure a 4-0 victory over the Crimson.

The Crimson bounced back this morning with its own 4-0 sweep over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Natalie Block and
Claire Shao quickly recorded the first win of the morning, blanking their opponents on court three.
Kavya Karra and
Stephanie Yakoff then registered their second win of the weekend, clinching the doubles point with a 6-3 win on the top court.
Kate Kim dominated at the No. 5 spot to give Harvard its second point of the day. The junior didn't drop a single game as she defeated Svava Schroeder (UWM).
Andra Braicu then provided a near-perfect result as well, defeating Honoka Yamashita (UWM), 6-1, 6-0.
Yakoff ultimately clinched Harvard's win, defeating Nadiia Konieva (UWM) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, with three matches still outstanding. Karra, Shao, and
Natasha Rajaram all led in their respective, unfinished matches.
