Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men's Hockey Falls to No. 7 Quinnipiac in Season Finale

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Heikki Ruohonen scored the first goal of the game for the Crimson, but two quick second-period goals from the Bobcats gave them the lead, and they never looked back Saturday night at Bright-Landry.

A great keep from Matthew Morden led to the first goal of the game for the Crimson after Morden knocked the puck down and found Heikki Ruohonen, who weaved through the zone and got his own rebound for the opening tally. His second in two nights in his return to the lineup gave Harvard a huge goal early in the second.

Michael Callow took a penalty shortly after the Crimson goal for the team's second penalty of the night. The Crimson unit held strong and killed it off, but Quinnipiac tied the game after the kill, scoring from a tough angle to make it 1-1.

After a Crimson lapse in the defensive zone, Quinnipiac added its second goal of the game on a puck that bounced through the Crimson end and wound up on Schwartz's stick, and he picked the corner.

The Bobcats scored early in the third to take a 3-1 lead. Despite multiple good looks from the Crimson after the Quinnipiac goal, Harvard was unable to find the back of the net. Quinnipiac hit the empty net with time expiring to win 4-1.
