ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving's Samantha Holtz and Ennika Carlson finished 12th and 15th, respectively, in the finals of the three-meter event at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships at Lejeune Hall on Tuesday.
Sophomores Carlson and Holtz both earned spots in the finals after strong performances earlier in the day. In the prelims, Carlson finished 14th overall with 272.65 points, while Holtz placed 16th with 269.45 points.
After six additional championship dives, Holtz finished 12th with 544.45 points, while Carlson placed 15th with a final score of 530.40.
Senior Nina Janmyr also competed in the prelims but did not advance to the finals. Janmyr placed 29th with 246.95 points.
Janmyr (1-meter diving), Alexandra Bastone (1650 free, 500 free), Anya Mostek (100 back, 200 back, 50 free), and Sydney Lu (100 fly. 200 fly) will now prepare for the NCAA Championships at McAuley Aquatics Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The 1650 free will kick off the events on Wednesday, March 18. The 1-meter event and the 100 fly are scheduled for Thursday, March 19. The 100 back, 500 free, and 50 free are slated for Friday, March 20, while the 200 back and 200 fly will be contested on Saturday, March 21.
