ATLANTA, GA – Harvard Women's Swimming and Diving saw Sydney Lu compete in the 100 fly and Nina Janmyr in the 1-meter springboard on day two of the NCAA Championships this Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Ivy League champion in the 100 fly, Lu qualified for the national meet for the first time in her career and entered the meet with the 35th-best time in Division I this season. The senior finished with a time of 53.10, which did not advance her to the finals. However, Lu still made strides as the only Ivy swimmer to compete in this event. Lu will continue her nationals journey and return to the pool on Saturday to compete in the 200 fly.
Janmyr, meanwhile, finished in 43rd place on the 1-meter board, earning a score of 236.65. The senior's performance was not enough to advance her to the finals, but it closed out an outstanding collegiate career.
Alexandra Bastone returns to the pool tomorrow for the 500 free alongside Anya Mostek, who returns to the national meet for the first time since 2024 to compete in the 100 back and 50 free. Prelims are scheduled for 10 a.m. ET, with the finals slated for 6 p.m. ET. All the action will air live on ESPN+.
