Gio Colasante has won Ivy League Player of the Week honors after making an impact as a batter and pitcher this past week, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Colasante hit .412 (7-for-17) last week across four games with six runs, four RBIs, and two home runs, while throwing 6.0 innings and allowing one run on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in the win as a starter in game one against Columbia.
Colasante notched a hit in all four games last week, going 2-for-6 with two runs in game four at CBU, 1-for-4 with an RBI in game one vs. Columbia, 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBIs in game two, and 2-for-4 with a home run, RBI, and two runs in game three.
Harvard plays at Holy Cross on Wednesday, Mar. 25 at a to-be-determined time (ESPN+) before an Ivy League road series at Cornell with a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 28 at 11:30 a.m. (ESPN+) and a single game on Sunday, Mar. 29 at noon (ESPN+).
