ATLANTA – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving's

William Mulgrew resumed action at the NCAA Championships on Friday morning. Arioti swam in the preliminary heats of the 100 back and Mulgrew completed his time at nationals by participating in the prelims of the 500 free.
Following an off day for the Crimson at the NCAA meet, Arioti got things going for Harvard by taking Lane 5 in Heat 2 of the 100 back. The sophomore finished the race in 46.46, which was good for fifth place. After seven heats were contested, Arioti ended with the 45
th-best time in the field, falling short of advancing to the finals.
As for Mulgrew, who placed ninth in the 1,650 free on Wednesday, he found himself in Lane 7 of Heat 4 of the 500 free. The first-year finished in fifth place with a time of 4:14.97. When the water settled after six heats, Mulgrew ended in 23
rd place and did not make the final.
Harvard will put its final touches on the NCAA Championships on Saturday when Arioti competes in the 200 back. The prelims are slated for 10 a.m. ET, with the finals scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. ESPN+ will air the action live.
