Fairfield, Conn. – Harvard Men's Volleyball (5-13, 2-5 EIVA) fell to Sacred Heart (8-10, 1-4 EIVA) in four close sets (22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 21-25) on Friday night.
How it Happened
The Crimson battled through a back-and-forth match, keeping each set tight and extending play with a 25-19 third-set win, but Sacred Heart pulled away late in the fourth to secure the victory.
The Crimson found trouble breaking through The Pioneers' blocking, but eventually found holes in their defense to capture the third set win and continue the play. Despite Harvard's consistent efforts, Sacred Heart took the match on home turf.
Harvard Highlights
- Sawyer Nichols led Harvard with 16 kills, eight digs, and a block,
- Zach Bety recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs
- Owen Woolbert added 12 kills on a .625 hitting percentage with three blocks.
