Fairfield, Conn. – Harvard Men's Volleyball (6-13, 3-5 EIVA) defeated the Sacred Heart Pioneers (8-10, 1-4 EIVA) in four sets (18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15) on Saturday, March 28th.
How it Happened
The Crimson came out looking to settle in but struggled with service reception early. Owen Woolbert and Sawyer Nichols each recorded two block assists, while Woolbert added three kills in the opening set.
In set two, Sacred Heart stayed close, but Harvard maintained its edge throughout. Zach Berty contributed three kills and two service aces to help preserve the lead.
Harvard carried that momentum into set three, posting a match-high .385 hitting percentage. Quinn Bishop led the way with six kills and a block.
In the fourth set, Harvard matched its third-set total with 15 kills. The sustained offensive pressure kept the Crimson in front and pulled Sacred Heart further out of reach, sealing the match.
