Gio Colasante notched a homer and three RBIs as Harvard University baseball powered past Cornell University, 16-3, in the series finale on Monday afternoon at Booth Field.

Completing a three-game set, the Crimson (4-15, 3-3 Ivy) plated 13 consecutive runs from the second through sixth innings to earn the 2-1 road series win over the Big Red (4-15, 2-4 Ivy) after taking a 2-1 win in game one as part of a doubleheader split on Sunday. The Crimson totaled season highs in runs (16), RBIs (16), and homers (five) in the series finale.

Lane went 3-for-4 with seven RBIs, two home runs, three runs, and a double, Rickheim finished 4-for-6 with five RBIs, two home runs, four runs, and a double, and Colasante added a 2-for-2 effort with three RBIs, a home run, and three runs.

On the mound, junior right-hander
Andrew Abler earned the win, throwing 6.0 innings and allowing just two runs on six hits and two walks with a season-high six strikeouts while junior right-hander
Ryan McHugh earned the three-inning save, tossing 3.0 innings and permitting just one run on three hits and one walk with a season-high five strikeouts.

- Junior right-hander Andrew Abler earned the win, tossing 6.0 innings in the start and allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts. He matched his season high with six strikeouts.

How It Happened
- Harvard struck first in the top of the first as Lane launched a three-run home run to right field to put Harvard up 3-0.
- Cornell countered with two runs in the bottom of the first to pull within 3-2.
- The Crimson responded in the top of the second, plating four more runs to extend its edge to 7-2. Colasante started the frame's scoring with a three-run homer to left field before Shulman brought in a run with an RB double to right center.
- Harvard tallied another four runs in the top of the third to gain an 11-2 advantage behind a three-run double to left center from Lane and an RBI double to right center from Rickheim.
- Rickheim blasted a three-run home run to left center in the top of the third to make the margin 14-2.
- Lane launched a solo shot – his second homer of the game – to right field to put Harvard up 15-2 in the top of the fifth.
- Rickheim drove a solo homer – his second home run of the day – to left field in the top of the sixth, giving the Crimson a 16-2 advantage.
- Cornell plated the contest's final run on an RBI double in the bottom of the ninth.Â
