Matthew Witkow hit a game-tying two-run single in the eighth, but Harvard University baseball fell to Liberty University on a walk-off double, 5-4, at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Playing in the series finale of a three-game set, the Crimson (0-9) tied the score at 4-4 in the top of the eighth on Witkow's single, but the Flames (11-3) took the decision on a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth to extend their win streak to nine games.

Abler allowed three runs – all earned – on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts over his 6.0 innings while junior right-hander
Ryan McHugh threw 1.2 innings of scoreless relief with two strikeouts. Alongside Witkow's two-run single, senior

- Harvard opened the game's scoring as senior Jordan Kang lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to score senior Max Lane in the top of the first.
- Liberty responded with three runs in the bottom of the first to take a 3-1 lead.
- After five scoreless frames, the Flames tacked on one more run in the bottom of the seventh to move the margin to 4-1.
- The Crimson countered with three runs in the top of the eighth to tie the score at 4-4. After senior Gio Colasante walked with the bases loaded to bring in a run, first-year Matthew Witkow evened the score with a two-run single to right field.
- The Flames took the decision with a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth.Â
