Davis Kahn allowed just one run over 6.1 innings in the start, but Harvard University baseball dropped a 5-3 decision to Dartmouth College on Friday afternoon at Tufts University's Sol Gittleman Park.

Starting off a stretch of seven straight games in which it will compete as the home team after playing 23 of its first 26 games as the away team, the Crimson (7-20, 5-7 Ivy) held a 3-0 lead through six innings before the Big Green (9-18, 5-8 Ivy) plated the game's final five runs over the last three frames.

Witkow finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs, a double, a run, and a walk, junior second baseman
Tyler Shulman posted a 2-for-4 effort with an RBI, and senior
Gio Colasante went 2-for-4 with a double and a run to round out the Crimson's three batters with multi-hit games.

In his first career start in Ivy League play, Kahn tossed a career-high 6.1 innings, allowing just one run on eight hits and no walks with three strikeouts.

Officials rescheduled the contest – originally scheduled for Sunday – to Friday due to expected weather conditions and then moved the game to Tufts' artificial turf facility due to field conditions.

How It Happened
- Harvard opened the game's scoring in the bottom of the second as Shulman sent an RBI single to center field to plate Witkow, who doubled earlier in the inning.
- The Crimson extended its edge to 2-0 in the last of the fourth behind a sacrifice fly from Witkow that brought home Lane after Lane led off the inning with a triple to right field.
- Harvard moved ahead 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth as Witkow notched his second RBI of the day with a single to center field that scored Colasante from second after Colasante doubled to open the stanza.
- Dartmouth pulled within 3-1 in the top of the seventh with an RBI double down the left field line.
- In the top of the eighth, the Big Green knotted the score at 3-3 with runs scoring on a pair of ground balls.
- Dartmouth scored twice in the top of the ninth to take a 5-3 edge behind two RBI doubles.Â
