Men’s Tennis Travels to Brown, Hosts Yale This Weekend

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis (11-10, 1-1 Ivy) will continue its quest for an Ivy League crown this weekend with two more matches against Brown (15-10, 0-3 Ivy) and No. 38 Yale (15-6, 2-1 Ivy). The Crimson will play its first conference road contest against Brown on Friday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. ET before returning home for another ranked battle against the Bulldogs on Sunday, April 12 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

The Last Time Out

  • The Crimson currently sits at 11-10 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League after the first weekend of conference play.
  • Last weekend, Harvard split its two matches, defeating No. 33 Princeton, 4-3, in a marathon match before falling to No. 40 Penn, 4-1.
  • Against the Tigers, Harvard lost the doubles point and five of six first sets in singles but rallied to defeat Princeton in a four-hour-long match.
  • Rohan Murali had a memorable performance, handing the No. 7-ranked singles player, Paul Inchauspe (Princeton), his first loss of the dual season. After falling in the first set, Murali bounced back, winning a tiebreaker in the second set and 6-3 in the third.
  • Benjamin Privara ultimately sealed the win with a gritty three-set victory over Fnu Nidunjianzan (Princeton). Each of the three sets went to a tiebreaker with Privara ultimately winning the third set, 7-6 (7).
  • Nathan Blokhin had a strong weekend, defeating Milan Markovits (Princeton) on court four and was one game away from winning the following day against his Penn opponent.

Individual Notes

  • Rohan Murali has an overall record of 18-8 this season and recently moved to the top singles spot for Harvard. The junior recently moved up to No. 60 in the country in the ITA Division I Men's Singles Rankings.
  • After the strong weekend, Nathan Blokhin reentered the ITA singles rankings, checking in at No. 118 nationally.
  • Overall, Blokhin is leading the Crimson in singles wins this season with a record of 20-7 across the fall and spring seasons.
  • Murali and Kolos Kincses have also been a bright spot for Harvard in the doubles lineup. The duo is 13-3 this spring while playing primarily at the No. 2 doubles spot.
  • Overall, Kincses has the most doubles wins of any Harvard player with 22 total in the  2025-26 season.

For the Foes

  • Brown is 15-10 overall and 0-3 so far in conference action.
  • Harvard has a staggering 90-7 lead in the all-time series versus the Bears.
  • The Crimson has also defeated Brown in 15 straight meetings.
  • Harvard also leads 78-26 in the all-time series against Yale.
  • Including a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs earlier this season, Harvard has won the last 26 meetings.
  • The Bulldogs are having a strong season with a record of 15-6 and a national ranking of No. 38.
  • Yale is 2-1 in Ivy League play with wins over Brown and Cornell and a loss to Columbia most recently.

Next Up

The Crimson will return to the road to face Columbia and Cornell in the final back-to-back of the season on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
