ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 13 Harvard men's lacrosse team fell to the No. 4 Cornell Big Red, 17-8, in the Ivy League semifinals this afternoon. After making the score 6-4 in the second quarter, the Big Red (11-3, 5-1 Ivy) went on a scoring run that proved to be too much for the Crimson (9-5, 3-3 Ivy).

How it Happened
- For the second time in six days, the Harvard men's lacrosse team lined up opposite the Cornell Big Red at Schoellkopf Field. The team's battled in the first semifinal of the 2026 Ivy League Tournament, with each team looking to advance to the Championship game on Sunday.
- Harvard landed the first punch in the bout, scoring an extra-man goal just over two minutes into the matchup. Logan Turley scored the goal, his first career EMO strike.
- Cornell responded with a long scoring run, putting five straight goals on the board to build a 5-1 lead at the 3:09 mark of the opening frame.
- John Aurandt IV stopped the run, scoring Harvard's second goal of the game late in the quarter. Cornell landed the last blow of the first, getting a late goal to make the score 6-2 after 15 minutes of action.
- Jack Speidell and Teddy Malone scored the first two goals of the second quarter to cut into the Big Red advantage. Malone's strike at 9:16 in the quarter cut the Cornell lead to just two.
- The Big Red piled on four more tallies in response, building a 10-4 lead going into the halftime break.
- Cornell built on its lead by adding two more goals early in the third quarter. Logan Ip found the back of the net with a bounce shot to stop the run. Shortly after, Finn Jensen found Nathan Cobery, who scored his first goal of the day on a fast break in transition to make the score 12-6 at the 5:07 mark in the third quarter.
- Graham Stevens made several saves in quarter to keep Harvard close but the Big Red continued to push, getting two more tallies in the closing minutes of the third quarter and building a 14-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- Three more goals from Cornell led off the fourth quarter as the Big Red advantage grew to 17-6. Francisco Cortes and Aurandt each put one more goal in the back of the net in the fourth quarter to make the final score 17-8. The Big Red took the win in the semifinal and advanced to the Ivy League Championship game on Sunday.
