CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 1 Harvard-Radcliffe lightweight rowing team will compete at the 2026 Eastern Sprints Regatta on Sunday, May 3, on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. This year marks the 51st edition of the prestigious event, where the Black and White will face Boston University, Georgetown, MIT, Sacred Heart, Stanford, Princeton and Wisconsin. Racing will be streamed live throughout the day on Overnight.com.
What to Know
- Harvard-Radcliffe has captured 15 EAWRC Sprints titles since 1979, most recently in 2017.
- At last year's regatta, the Black and White earned silver medals in both the varsity eight and varsity four A, a bronze in the four B, and placed sixth in the double.
- Harvard-Radcliffe has delivered a strong season, highlighted by a Class of 1999 Cup victory over Princeton—its first in six years—along with the varsity eight claiming wins at the Knecht Cup and the Class of 2004 Cup over Georgetown. The squad also retained the Beanpot and Muri Cup over Boston University and MIT.
- The Black and White has held the No. 1 ranking in the College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) poll every week since its first appearance in Week 3.
