Women's Lightweight Rowing

No. 1 Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweights Capture Two Silvers and Two Bronzes at Eastern Sprints

WORCESTER, Mass. – The No. 1 Harvard-Radcliffe Lightweight Rowing team delivered a strong performance at the 51st annual Eastern Sprints, medaling in all four races it entered. Despite windy conditions and whitecaps on the water, all four boats battled hard, with the varsity eight and A double earning silver, while the varsity four and B double took bronze.

Lightweight Eight – Grand Final

This marks the sixth top-two finish for the varsity eight at Eastern Sprints in the last 11 years. The crew secured its third consecutive silver medal in a tightly contested grand final, finishing just two seconds behind Ivy rival Princeton while edging out Stanford. The Black and White also powered past BU, MIT, and Georgetown.

The Varsity Four battled closely with BU throughout the race, finishing just two seconds behind the Terriers to claim the bronze medal.

The Radcliffe A double finished second in a tightly contested grand final, clocking 7:37.344 to secure the silver medal. The result reflects significant program progress, improving from a sixth-place finish last year.

The Radcliffe Lightweight Double B took home the bronze medal, finishing third in the grand final with a time of 8:08.583 in a competitive field.
