CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football's
Spencer Doan and
Damien Henderson have been named to the 2026 Shriners Children's 1000 Watch List. The senior duo finds themselves at the starting point for who will participate in the 2027 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl.
An offensive lineman from Lawrence, Kansas, Doan enters his final campaign at Harvard having earned 2025 All-Ivy League First-Team accolades. The three-time Ivy League champion allowed zero sacks, zero hits and just four hurries, according to Pro Football Focus, during his junior season. One of the most durable players on the roster, Doan has seen action in all 21 games over the last two years.
Henderson, meanwhile, adds to his list of 2026 preseason accolades. A native of Tampa, Florida, Henderson has already been named a first-team All-American by FCS Football Central, a second-team selection by Stats Perform, and an early candidate for the Buck Buchanan Award (FCS Defensive Player of the Year). Henderson, a 2023 Freshman All-American, is coming off a 2025 campaign that saw him total 46 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, two quarterback hurries and six pass breakups. The two-time all-conference selection's two picks were tied for the most on the team, while his PBU and tackle numbers ranked second and fourth, respectively.
The duo last season helped Harvard capture its third consecutive Ivy League championship and earn its first bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs. The Crimson rose to as high as No. 7 in the Stats Perform Top 25 Poll and finished the year with a 9-2 record (6-1 Ivy). Harvard's season, meanwhile, will get underway on Sept. 19, at fellow 2025 NCAA participant New Hampshire.
