The Harvard men's heavyweight rowing season culminated with a sweep of rival Yale in the annual Harvard-Yale Regatta on the Thames River in New London, Conn. Over two days of racing, the Crimson downed the Bulldogs first in the Friday night fourth varsity and followed with a dominating Saturday performance from the third, second and first varsity boats.

The season started back in March with a competitive weekend at the Sarasota Invitational with all three boats taking first or second each day of racing. The varsity was second to Washington, while the third varsity dominated each day. Harvard hosted back-to-back home races against Cornell and Princeton on the Charles River in April. The Crimson swept the Big Red and two weeks later won the second and third varsity races against Princeton.

Following a win in the Adams Cup against Penn and Navy, Harvard returned to the Charles and set a course record in a win over Northeastern in 5:28.21.

Postseason racing began at Eastern Sprints in Worcester, where Harvard won its 35th EARC Sprints Regatta Championship. Ahead of Harvard-Yale, the Crimson raced at the IRA National Championship Regatta on Lake Natoma in California. The second and third varsity boats each landed on the medal stand in third and second, respectively. In a tightly-contested varsity grand final, Harvard was left off the podium in fourth; 1.358 seconds back of third.
