SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Harvard men's soccer (1-1-0, 0-0-0 Ivy) took an early second-half lead before falling to Notre Dame (1-1-2, 0-0-0 ACC), 3-1, on Monday night at Alumni Stadium.

Gil de Souza scored for the Crimson, while
Dylan Tellado registered the assist on the Crimson's lone goal in the contest.
Jason Broome anchored a solid backline effort, making six saves to hold off the Fighting Irish for a majority of the contest.
How it Happened
- Harvard created the first scoring opportunity less than one minute into the match, with Ben Kelly putting an attempt on goal that was stopped by Notre Dame goalkeeper Blake Kelly.
- Adam Poliakov followed with shots on goal in the seventh and 10th minutes as the Crimson forced three saves over the opening 10 minutes.
- Notre Dame recorded nine shots and seven corner kicks during the first half, but Broome made two saves to stun the Fighting Irish in the opening frame.
- Harvard placed all five of its first-half shots on goal, including two attempts from de Souza, but the teams entered halftime in a scoreless tie.
- The Crimson opened the scoring in the 51st minute. Tellado set up de Souza, who converted his third shot on goal of the match to give Harvard an advantage.
- Notre Dame equalized in the 61st minute when Stevie Dunphy scored after a series of defensive stops.
- Michael Capretto put the Fighting Irish ahead in the 79th minute before Vlad Walent converted a penalty kick in the 83rd minute to produce the 3-1 final.
- Andreas Savva put Harvard's final attempt on goal in the 89th minute, but Kelly made the save to help seal the victory for Notre Dame.
