CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing is scheduled to compete in four regattas this weekend, including the two-day NEISA Singlehanded Championships hosted by Boston College (Sept. 18-19). Three other local regattas will take place on Sept. 19: the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT, the Regis Trophy hosted by Harvard, and the Mystic Lake Invitational at Tufts.

Hatch Brown Trophy, Regis Trophy | Cambridge, Mass.
Saturday will be in the mid-60s, with partly cloudy skies, and winds between 5-7 knots (NE, ENE, E, ESE).
Mystic Lake Invitational | Medford, Mass.
Medford on Saturday will be in the mid-60s, with partly cloudy conditions welcoming sailors on Mystic Lake. The wind conditions will be similar to those in Cambridge.
What to Know
- Harvard opened its 2026-27 campaign last weekend with impressive performances. The Crimson won the Toni Deutsch Trophy, finished second at both the Harry Anderson Trophy and Charles Invitational, and placed fifth at the Harvard Invitational. The Crimson also had a second entry in Charles Invitational and came in eighth place.
- Zoey Ziskind, Christina Chen, Kate Danielson and JJ Drummond powered the Crimson to its first Toni Deutsch victory since 2022. Their performance also netted them NEISA Women's Sailor-of-the-Week honors, which was announced on Wednesday.
- The Crimson returns to the NEISA Singlehanded Championships, which will take place in Dorchester beginning on Friday. Harvard is expected to have Danielson, Louise Martin and Grace Montgomery – both first-years – compete on the women's side. Danielson finished in fourth place last season (59 points) after coming in second as a first-year. On the open side, the Crimson's Robby Meek is the two-time defending champion, but is taking the semester off to train for the 2028 Olympics. The Crimson is not expected to have a sailor compete in this week's open regatta.
- The three Harvard women slated to sail at the NEISA Singlehanded Championships will look to secure the program's second title and first since 2006, when Sloan Devlin emerged victorious.
- Harvard returns to the Hatch Brown Trophy after a win during the 2025 season, which was the program's first since 2017. In 2025, Justin Callahan '26 made his season debut alongside Jacob Posner, winning two of three races to top the A-Division with seven points. Chen, Rosella Irfan and Harrison Strom were also part of last season's entry and are back in 2026-27.
- At the 2025 Regis Trophy, Harvard finished seventh of 18 teams at the BU-hosted event. Back from last year's regatta are Ziskind, Peyton Hadfield, Caroline Straw and Theresa Straw.
- Harvard will be making its first appearance at the Mystic Lake Invitational since 2016, when it finished in second place.
