CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing completed its second weekend of the fall season on Saturday. The Crimson competed in the two-day NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championship and sailed at three one-day regattas, all of which took place in the Boston area.

NEISA Women's Singlehanded Championship | Boston, Mass.

Kate Danielson finished in second place at the NEISA event, ending with a score of 44 and trailing only Yale's Audrey Foley (32). First-years Grace Montgomery and Louise Martin, meanwhile, came in fifth (66) and sixth place (71), respectively, in the 11-athlete field.
 
Danielson opened the regatta on a strong note, going 2-1-1 over her first three races and then registered four straight third-place finishes before logging another runner-up performance in Race 8. The next three starts, however, presented a challenge as Danielson went 8-6-9. With second place secured, Danielson ended the two-day regatta with a third-place showing.
 
Montgomery was steady throughout the championship, registering single-digit finishes in all 12 races. Of the 12 starts, the first-year finished in the top five on six occasions, with two runner-up performances (Races 5, 10) and never finished below eighth. Martin, meanwhile, had 10 single-digit finishes, including six in the top 5 (Races 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12) and a win in Race 11.

Hatch Brown Trophy | Cambridge, Mass.

Harvard finished in eighth place with 197 points at the three-division Hatch Brown Trophy, hosted by MIT. Yale won the regatta with a score of 100. Zoey Ziskind and Christina Chen sailed in the A-Division, with the first-year duo of Max Wolfensberger and Zia Zucker drawing the B-Division. Xavier Ayala-Vermont and Julia Downey, meanwhile, competed in the C-Division.
 
Ziskind and Chen, who were part of the group that earned NEISA Sailor-of-the-Week honors on Wednesday, were solid with six top-nine performances in the eight-race regatta. The duo's best showing came in Race 4, when they were the runner-up. They ultimately finished with a 57.
 
Wolfensberger and Zia Zucker showed glimpses of excellent sailing, coming in second place in Race 1 and third in Race 5. The also posted an eighth-place finish in Race 2 and a sixth-place finish in Race 4. The duo ended the day with a 68 after double-figure finishes in the rest of its starts.
 
Ayala-Vermont and Downey started slow in their first two races (12-14), but rebounded by placing in the top nine in five of the final six competitions. In Races 3-6, the pair put up a line of 3-6-6-9. In the final start of the day, a ninth-place showing put the finishing touches on their 72.

Regis Trophy | Cambridge, Mass.

The Crimson finished in 15^th place on the Charles River at the BU-hosted Regis Trophy. Harvard recorded a score of 261, while the champion, Tufts, posted a 74.
 
Sophomore Grace Naylor and first-year Elizabeth Jacobsson went against the A-Division, while first-year Noelle Brighton and sophomore Skyler Reading sailed in the B.
 
Naylor-Jacobsson had its best finish (seventh) come in the 10^th and final race. They also had an eighth-place showing in the opening competition and a ninth-place performance in Race 3 en route to a 126. Brighton-Reading's top finish occurred in Race 5 (10^th) and turned in a score of 135.

Mystic Lake Invitational | Medford, Mass.

Harvard ended its day in Medford in sixth place at the six-team regatta. The Crimson finished with a 296 at the three-division event.
 
The junior duo of William Bourell and Antonia Kolb were Harvard's A-Division athletes, with first-years Pax Huybers and Whitney Pickett competing against the B-Division. Senior James Bergstrom and junior Mizuki Yashiro represented the Crimson in the C-Division.
 
Bourell-Kolb produced an impressive four-race showing in Races 2-5, turning in a line of 4-3-5-6. The pair also logged a ninth-place finish in Race 7, helping them register a final score of 67. Huybers and Pickett enjoyed their best run of the day in Races 4-6, going 6-3-9, before ultimately finishing with a 94. Bergstrom-Yashiro, meanwhile, finished with an eight-race score of 135.

Harvard is expected to compete in the Eagle Invitational, hosted by Boston College, on Saturday, Sept. 26. The Crimson will also appear at the two-day Mrs. Hurst Bowl (Dartmouth host), Hoyt Trophy (Brown host) and Hood Trophy (Tufts host), Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 26-27.
