DURHAM, N.C. – Harvard men's golf continues to find success on the links, as the Crimson finished in third place as a team at the Rod Myers Invitational this week.

Due to inclement weather, Harvard only played 36 holes at the Duke University Golf Course, as the Crimson shot 12-under par across the two rounds in Durham, North Carolina. Junior William Ma was the Crimson's top performer at the Rod Myers Invitational, as the San Diego, California native shot a 138 (-6) to finish in a tie for third on the leaderboard.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Harvard wasted no time shooting up to the upper echelon of the team leaderboard, as a trio of Crimson shot under par in the first round of the Rod Myers Invitational. A bogey-free trip down the back nine and five birdies saw first-year Alex Zhang shoot a team-best 69 (-3) in the first round, while sophomore Morgan Riley shot a 70 (-2) thanks to five birdies across 18 holes, including back-to-back birdies on the 11^th and 12^th holes. Ma would start his time in Durham with four birdies in the opening round.

Round two at the Rod Myers Invitational would become the final round due to rough weather in the area, as the Crimson shot six-under as a team to cement its third place finish. Ma would catch fire in the second and final around, as he would birdie the second hole and hole-out on the third hole par-three to propel him to a 67 (-5) to finish in a tie for third in the individual leaderboard. Riley would birdie three holes in the front nine and would card an eagle on par-five on the 14^th hole.

Ma would finish in a tie of third (-6), while Zhang and Riley each finished in a tie for 11^th (-4). Junior Barry Zhang took a tie for 41^st place (+2), while senior Jonathan Hartono would finish in a tie for 60^th (+6) and sophomore Isaac Ahn finished in a tie for 53^rd (+5).
