NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Harvard men's golf was only able to play 18 this weekend due to inclement weather, as the Crimson finished in first place at the MacDonald at the newly renovated Yale Golf Course.

After the only round of golf, Harvard finished in first place as a team after shooting a 289 (+9) in difficult conditions at the Yale Golf Course. In just his third collegiate meet, first-year Alex Zhang once again excelled, finishing in first place after shooting a 68 (-2). A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Zhang was the only golfer in the field to shoot below par at the MacDonald Cup. After a bogey free 13 holes, Zhang would birdie three of the final five holes to earn the win.

Finishing in a tie for sixth place, junior William Ma shot a 72 (+2) with a pair of birdies, one on the front nine and another on the back nine. Last week saw Ma lead all Crimson at the Rod Myers Invitational with a third place finish.

A pair of Crimson finished in a tie for 12^th place. Sophomore Morgan Riley and senior Jonathan Hartono each shot a 74 (+4), while sophomore Reese Jensen carded a 75 (+5) to finish in a tie for 21^st and junior Barry Zhang placed in a tie for 28^th after posting a 76 (+6).
