CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With a stormy weekend ahead in the northeast, Harvard sailing preps for a trio of regattas across the region. The Crimson will send sailors to the Mrs. Hurst Bowl in New Hampshire, the Hoty Trophy in Rhode Island and the Hood Trophy locally hosted by Tufts.

New Hampshire is expected to experience rain late in the day on Saturday, with precipitation chances reaching 65% in the late afternoon. Anywhere from five to 10 mile per hour winds are expected in the area. Sunday projects potential rain in the morning with winds staying consistent with Saturday's projections.
Hoyt Trophy | Providence, R.I.
Beginning around 10:00 a.m. ET rain is expected throughout nearly the entire weekend. With a storm headed to the northeast, wins are expected to stay steady around 20 miles per hour beginning Saturday and into Sunday morning.
Hood Trophy | Medford, Mass.
Temperature, precipitation, and wind is expected to be consistent with that of Providence, R.I.

What to Know

• The Crimson competed at the Hatch Brown Trophy, the Regis Trophy, and the Mystic Lake Invitational last weekend.
• The weekend prior was opening weekend and the Crimson posted three top two results, including winning the Toni Deutsch Trophy.
• Zoey Ziskind, Christina Chen, and Kate Danielson, and JJ Drummond powered the Crimson to their win at the Toni Deutsch Trophy, the Crimson's first victory at the regatta since 2022. The win also earned them NEISA Women's Sailor of the Week honors last week.
• The Crimson posted two top five results at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl and the Hoyt Trophy last season.
• This will be Harvard's first time competing at the Hood Trophy since 2024 when it beat out 19 other teams to take home the top spot.

Next Up

The Crimson is scheduled to compete at five regattas next weekend. The Smith Trophy, BU Invitational, the first round of the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship, Danmark Trophy, and Moody Trophy will all take place in the northeast.
