CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off a memorable and historic 2026 spring season that saw an Ivy League Championship return to Cambridge, Harvard men's golf starts its 2026 fall slate this weekend at the Red Bandanna Invitational, hosted by Boston College at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, New York.
Action in the Empire State will take place across Sunday, Sept. 6 and Monday, Sept. 7. This is Harvard's first ever appearance at the Red Bandanna Invitational.

WHAT TO KNOW
- Harvard returns a plethora of talent from a 2025-26 squad that won the school's first Ivy League title since 2017 and the fifth in program history.
- Junior Barry Zhang returns to Cambridge after winning the Ivy League individual title last spring. A native of Winter Garden, Florida, Zhang is only one of five individual Ivy League champions in school history, as he carded a 69 in the final round at the Baltusrol Golf Club and bested Princeton's Reed Greyserman in playoff to claim the top spot.
- The Crimson's entire lineup from its Ivy League triumph returns to campus. Along with Zhang, fellow juniors Ieuan Jones and William Ma also garnered All-Ivy League and All-Region honors.
- At the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional, Harvard finished tied for eighth in a competitive field, as Zhang finished in tied for fourth after tallying a score 11 under par after 54 holes at the University of Georgia Golf Course.
- Along with its talented returners, Harvard welcomes first-year Alex Zhang to Cambridge this fall. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Zhang achieved a career-best AJGA Rolex ranking of No. 23 and earned 2025 Roles Junior All-America honorable mention status as well.
- Kevin Rhoads, The Bobby Jones '24 Coach for Harvard Men's Golf, is entering his 14th season as the head coach of the men's golf program at Harvard. The 2026 Ivy League Coach of the Year, Rhoads led Harvard to Ivy League championships in 2026, 2017 and 2016 and has mentored 10 All-Region selections.
