Event Information
Harvard Hockey will host its 5th Annual Teddy Bear Toss games during the 2025-26 season. During the events, fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears and other stuffed animals to these games to be thrown on the ice and donated to local children's hospitals.
The initiative involves fans bringing stuffed animals to Bright-Landry Hockey Center and throwing them onto the ice at a designated time to be gathered for donation. All collections are then donated to pediatric cancer patients at Harvard-affiliated hospitals for the holidays!
In its first year, more than 100 teddy bears and stuffed animals were collected and given to patients at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Check out the recap.
During the second annual Teddy Bear Toss, the teams collected over 200 stuffed animals to be delivered to pediatric patients in the Boston Region over the holidays. Check out the recap.
In the third year of our annual Teddy Bear Toss, Harvard Hockey collected and donated 454 bears that were donated to patients at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and Mass Eye and Ear. Check out the recap.
In the fourth season, Harvard Men's and Women's Ice Hockey donated over 500 stuffed animals with more than 2,000 fans helping contribute to the yearly initiative, the stuffed animals will be delivered to children at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, Massachusetts General Brigham, and Franciscan Children’s just in time for the holiday season.
