Kelly Finley

Kelly Finley is in her fourth season as an assistant coach atHarvard. Finley is in charge of coordinating all aspects ofrecruiting for the Crimson as well as player development andscouting opponents’ offenses.

Harvard posted a 57-29 record in Finely's first three years onthe job, including a 32-10 record in the Ivy League. 12 Crimsonearned All-Ivy honors in that time, including Emma Markley '11 whowas a three-time honoree and ranks ninth on the school's all-timescoring list with 1,285 career points.

Harvard's 2011 recruiting class was ranked as the 31st-bestclass in the country by ESPN and included the program's first-everMcDonald's All-American in Temi Fagbenle, who was rated the13th-best prospect as a senior. Harvard's 2012 recruiting classincludes guard Shilpa Tummala, who is ranked 68th overall.

A Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Award winner, Finley won twovarsity letters at Colorado State and one at Northwestern. Shestarted eight of 13 games as a freshman for the Wildcats before aninjury sidelined the rookie for the rest of the season. Sheappeared in 20 games in her first season with the Rams, makingthree starts. In her final season with the Rams, Finley played in24 contests while battling chronic stress fractures. She was partof the CSU team that upset Utah, then ranked No. 8 in the nationalpolls, in the Mountain West Tournament in 2008.

She was involved with Boys and Girls Club of Fort Collins andChicago as well as a representative on the Student AthleticAdvisory Committee and a member of the Fellowship of ChristianAthletes (FCA).

Finley was a highly recruited shooting guard out of high school,having played on the varsity team since seventh grade. Finleyfinished her high school career with over 1,700 career points aswell as ranked second in assists for the state of Minnesota. Herhigh school won the 2A state title in 2004 after having placedsecond in 2003 and third  in 2002. Finley’s AAU team,the Minnesota Metro Stars, competed nationally, winning the overallchampionship at the Nike Showcase in Chicago in 2003.

Other coaching positions include basketball camp director forMinnesota Hardball, camp counselor for Todd Park Basketball and anassistant coach for Minnesota Metro Stars.

Finley graduated cum laude from CSU with a degree in humandevelopment and family studies.
