Randy Widtfeldt joined the sports medicine staff in the fall of2007 and works primarily with softball, women's basketball andskiing.

He earned his undergraduate degree in sports medicine in 1999from Merrimack College. After working at Georgetown High school fortwo years, he went to graduate school at the University ofMississippi. At Ole Miss, he worked with football, men's basketballand women's basketball while achieving a master's degree inexercise science.

After graduate school, Widtfelt was hired as the head athletictrainer at Simmons College in Boston. He held that position foralmost five years before joining the Harvard Sports Medicine staff.He is presently a resident of Haverhill, Mass., where he lives withhis wife, Heather, and son, Cameron.
