ITHACA, N.Y. – With the eighth-ranked Harvard men's soccer team trailing, 1-0, late in the second half, Alex Chi knotted the game with his first goal of the season at 76:28, helping the Crimson draw Cornell, 1-1, Saturday evening. Chi finished off a cross pass from Adam Rousmaniere, as Harvard moves to 8-1-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in Ivy League play.

Cornell (4-3-3, 0-0-2 Ivy League) jumped out to a 1-0 lead at 9:26, as Ben Kenyon booted a rebound off a shot by Chase Aaronson past Harvard's Austin Harms and into the net. Harvard out shot the Big Red, 9-6, for the half, and 23-12, for the game, but could not muster a goal until Chi's score in the 77th minute. Harms made three saves for the Crimson, while his counterpart, Scott Brody stopped nine shots by Harvard players.

In the first overtime, Rousmaniere mustered a shot on goal, but Brody turned the ball aside in the 97th minute. Brody also stopped a shot by Brian Grimm with 3:41 to play in the second extra session, the final chance by Harvard on the evening. The Crimson held the edge in corner kicks, 9-8, while each team was given one yellow card apiece.

Harvard travels to Storrs, Conn., to face No. 26 Connecticut Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
