STORRS, Conn. – The sixth-ranked Harvard men's soccer team suffered a non-conference loss at No. 17 Connecticut Wednesday evening, as the Crimson fell to the Huskies by a 4-0 margin. With the loss, Harvard's record falls to 8-2-1, while UConn improves to 7-2-3.

UConn scored back-to-back goals in the 33rd and 34th minutes on shots by Alan Ponce and Carlos Alvarez to grab a 2-0 lead. After one period of play, the Huskies owned a 7-3 advantage in shots and a 2-1 edge in corner kicks. In the second half, Ponce netted his second goal of the game at 56:38 as he finished off a cross pass from Alvarez to beat Harvard goalkeeper Austin Harms. UConn capped the scoring with a tally in the final moments on Alvarez's second goal at 88:46.

Harms finished the game with five saves, while his counterpart, Josh Ford, stopped two Harvard shots. The teams mustered 12 shots each, with the Huskies managing nine on net, while Harvard had two shots on goal. The Crimson earned all six second-half corner kick chances.
