The Particulars:
No. 14 Harvard hosts No. 21 Dartmouth in a key Ivy League contest
Saturday afternoon at Ohiri Field. The Crimson enters the game in
third place in the conference with a 2-1-1 record, while Dartmouth
is tied for first with a 3-1 mark.

Last Time Out:
Harvard fell in double overtime to Princeton, 2-1. Andre Akpan got
the Crimson on the board by converting a penalty kick in the 66th
minute. Just twenty seconds later, the Tigers netted the equalizer.
Princeton scored the game winner in the 102nd minute to steal the
win.
Series History:
Today's contest marks the 83rd meeting between the Crimson
and the Big Green. Harvard leads the series with a 41-33-8 record
against Dartmouth. Last season, the Crimson dropped a 1-0 decision
in Hanover, N.H.
About Harvard:
The No. 14 Crimson enters Saturday's match with an overall
record of 10-3-1 and a 3-1 record in conference play.
Andre Akpan paces the squad with ten goals and five assists for 25
points. Brian Rogers has 14 points to his credit on five goals and
four assists. Adam Rousmaniere has dished out five assists this
season, which ties him with Akpan for the team lead.
Between the posts, Austin Harms boasts an 9-3-1 record in the 13
games he has started this fall. He has recorded five shutouts and
boasts a 0.83 goals-against average, while owning a .800 save
percentage.
About Dartmouth:
The No. 21 Big Green enters today's contest with an 8-4-1
overall record and a 3-1 mark in the Ivy League. Dartmouth is tied
with Brown at the top of the fixture with nine points. The Big
Green is coming off two shutout losses to No. 8 South Florida and
Columbia.
Daniel Keat leads Dartmouth with seven goals and five assists for
19 points on the season. Lucky Mkosana, the 2008 Ivy League Rookie
of the Year, has chipped in six goals of his own and two
helpers.
In goal, Sean Donovan has started 11 games for he Big Green and
sports a 1.24 goals-against average with a pair of shutouts.
Three to Tie:
Andre Akpan currently sits in second-place in the all-time record
books at Harvard for number of goals in a career. To date, Akpan
has netted 44 goals for the Crimson. Akpan trails Chris Ohiri
'64 by just three goals.
Bouncing Back:
Harvard has not dropped back-to-back games since losing to Penn
3-1, Sept. 23, and Rhode Island 2-1, Sept. 26 in 2006.
Annual Appearances:
Harvard has reached the NCAA tournament in each of the last three
seasons and is looking to make its fourth straight appearance. The
three-year streak is the second longest in program history. The
Crimson's longest NCAA tournament appearance streak spans
five years, from 1968-72.
