Ivy League Standings
The Particulars:
The 11th-ranked Harvard men's soccer team, which sits atop
the Ivy League standings with a 3-1-1 conference mark and 10
points, visits Columbia for an Ivy League contest Saturday
afternoon at 4 p.m. The Crimson is coming off a 2-1 victory over
Dartmouth last week, as the team now owns an 11-3-1 overall record.
Columbia enters the game with a 4-10-1 overall record and 2-3 mark
in the Ancient Eight.

Series History:
Harvard has won the last four meetings against Columbia, growing
its lead in the all-time series to 34-20-5. Last season, Harvard
scored six unanswered goals by six different players to earn a 6-1
victory over the Lions at Ohiri Field Nov. 8, 2008. With a goal and
an assist in that contest, Andre Akpan surpassed Chris Ohiri
'64 as Harvard's all-time leading scorer. Austin Harms
made the start in net, stopping one shot in the game, in which
Harvard outshot Columbia, 21-8.
About Harvard:
In the Crimson's 2-1 win over Dartmouth Oct. 31, Kwaku
Nyamekye got Harvard on the scoreboard with his first goal of the
season off a volley at 4:42. The Big Green tied the game in the
56th minute, but Andre Akpan delivered with the game winner, coming
at 62:43, putting Harvard in sole possession of first place in the
conference.
With 11 goals this season, Akpan leads Harvard and ranks 10th in
the nation with 0.73 goals per game. He is also eighth with 1.80
points per contest, having amassed 27 points in 15 games. Brian
Rogers stands second on the Crimson in scoring with five goals and
four assists for 14 points, while Adam Rousmaniere leads the team
with six assists. In goal, Austin Harms owns a 10-3-1 record with
five clean sheets, a 0.84 goals-against average and a save
percentage of .800.
Harvard is outscoring its opponents by a 26-12 margin, including
16-7 in the second half. The Crimson also has the edge in corner
kicks, 75-61.
About Columbia:
The Lions have dropped its last three games and five of the last
six overall after falling at Adelphi, 2-1, Tuesday evening. Bayo
Adafin has a team-best 11 points on five goals, including two
game-winning tallies, and one assist, while James Princet is second
with three goals and two helpers for eight points. Between the
pipes, Alexander Aurrichio has played every minute and is 4-10-1
with two shutouts and a 1.26 goals-against average. He has faced 78
shots on goal, stopping 60.
Milestone Watch:
Senior forward Andre Akpan, who holds Harvard's career points
(122) and assist (32) records, is two goals shy of tying Chris
Ohiri '64 for Harvard's all-time lead in that
category.

Brown visits Yale and Penn welcomes Princeton.
