2009 Football Tickets On Sale For Two-Time Defending Ivy Champion Crimson

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2009 Harvard Football schedule is now available with all five home game times in place and tickets on sale June 1, 2009. The Crimson will again play five home and five road games as it pursues its third consecutive Ivy League title.

Big ticket changes are in effect this fall with family-friendly action in mind for the Crimson faithful. All children, 12 years old and under, will receive free admission to all home football games this season with no limit to the number of children per family.

Harvard opens its season Sept. 19 at Holy Cross. The Crimson's home opener comes Friday, Sept. 25 with a 7 p.m. night game against Brown on Faculty & Staff Night. Fans can receive up to four free tickets with their Harvard ID card.

Following road games at Lehigh and Cornell, the Crimson returns home for three straight games against Lafayette (Oct. 17), Princeton (Oct. 24) and Dartmouth (Oct. 31). The Crimson also plays against Penn (Nov. 14) in its final home game sandwiched between road outings to Columbia (Nov. 7) and Yale on Nov. 21.

Harvard Football is introducing all new season ticket holder benefits including:

  • Lock in savings now! – Renew now for 2009 and 2010 and lock in this year's low ticket and parking prices for the next two years. Hurry – offer expires June 25th.

  • Private Pregame Reception  - To be held on the Mezzanine (Level 2) of the Stadium on October 17 vs. Lafayette, 10 a.m.-noon.  Watch for your email invitation!
  • Priority to purchase additional tickets to The Game in New Haven, Nov. 21 - priority deadline July 31. Includes access to all away game tickets through the Harvard Athletics Ticket Office.
  • Harvard Crimson Card – Discounts and savings from preferred partners of Harvard Athletics.
  • Email Update – The week of every home game you will receive an email update with stats, information and an exclusive merchandise offer.
  • “Season Ticket Holder of the Game”- a new feature on the vidoeboard highlighting one of our season ticket holders.  Fans may send nominees to: eaudet@fas.harvard.edu.
  • Seatbacks – The opportunity to purchase removable seatbacks.  More information to follow.

Please note that the deadline for season ticket renewal is July 31. Seats not renewed by the deadline will be released for general public sale.

Fan Zone
Make sure to visit the Fan Zone, open 2 hours prior to kickoff and during halftime in Dillon Quad. The Fan Zone provides a great atmosphere for fans to enjoy music, food and drink, games, face-painting, give-a-ways and more!

Family Post-game Fun
After each home Harvard football game fans have the opportunity to create their own memories on the FieldTurf at Harvard Stadium. Be sure to bring your family down to the field so they too can experience the feeling of being a Crimson. Also, join the Harvard University Band in Dillon Quad for a post-game rally to greet the team.
