CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard defender Lindsey Kowal and the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team traveled to England this week for two matches against the English Under-23 squad July 3 and July 7.

Kowal, a rising sophomore, is one of five defensemen on the U.S. team comprised entirely of collegiate-aged players from around the country.

An All-Ivy League honorable mention selection in her first year at Harvard last fall, Kowal started 17 games and helped the Crimson to its first Ivy League title since 1999. A native of East Meadow, N.Y., Kowal was a key member of the Crimson's defense that allowed only 18 goals in 18 games.
