BLANTYRE, Malawi – Harvard sophomore
Sophie Legros of the Harvard women's soccer team has spent much of
the summer volunteering with the Coaches across Continents program,
run by Seamus Malin '62 and Nick Gates '91.
Legros, a midfielder on the Crimson, recently started a blog
discussing her experience with Coaches across Continents and how
the program has improved the lives of children through the
experience of learning and playing soccer.

Coaches across Continents, founded in 1990, is a not-for-profit
organization designed to develop young people to become modern
leaders in their community. Malin, a U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer, and
Gates run this organization which allows experiences soccer coaches
to work and assist developing regions using a designed soccer
education curriculum.
