Harvard looks to climb the Ivy League standings with a victory
over Cornell. Crimson has won back-to-back games including its
first Ivy League victory of the season against archrival Yale Oct.

About Harvard:
The Crimson stands fourth in the Ivy League with a 1-1-0 record
and has won their last two home games by a combined score of
4-2.
Katherine Sheeleigh (5-4-14) leads the team with 14 points. She is
now 6th all time in Harvard history with 68 points and sixth in
goals scored with 27. With five goals on the season,
Sheeleigh is tied with Melanie Baskind for the team lead.
Peyton Johnson, Alexandr Conigliaro, Elizabeth Weisman, and
Patricia Yau have all scored once this season.
Goalkeepers Alexandra
Millet (1-2-1) and Jessica Wright
(3-2-0) split time in net. Millet has started four games with a
1.76 goals against average and 17 saves. Since starting against BU,
freshman goalkeeper Jessica Wright has been the starting goalie the
past five games. With a goals against average of 2.10 and 29 saves
this season, she has won the past two games.
About Cornell:
The Big Red is hoping to improve on a 0-2 start in the Ivy League
standings. Cornell leads the conference with 18 goals scored.
Brook Chang has a team-best nine points and four goals,
while. Maneesha Chitanuis, Caedren Harvey, Megan Crowell, and Mary
Keroack all have multiple goals. Rachael Nichols, Annmarie Irwin,
Sidra Bonner, and Kristina Jackson have all scored on the
season.
Goalkeepers Kelly Murphy (4-1-0) and Megan Barlett (1-4-0) share
time at net. Kelly Murphy is having a fantastic year with a goals
against average of 0.62 with 19 saves and two shutouts. Megan
Barlett has allowed nine goals this season and has a goals against
average of 1.80, along with 28 saves and one shutout.

Sheeleigh has been named a finalist for the prestigious Lowe's
Senior CLASS Award for displaying both on-field and off-field
excellence.. Fans can vote for Sheeleigh online here until Nov. 14. Fan votes will be combined with
media and coaches votes to determine the winner. The winner will be
announced at the Women's College Cup in December.
A History Lesson:
Harvard has played Cornell annually since 1980 defeating the Big
Red in the inaugural game, 5-0, at home. The Crimson leads the all
time series 20-3-6. Harvard has shut out the Cornell 16 times, with
11 of those shutouts coming at home.
Keeping The Streak Alive:
The Crimson has not lost to Cornell since 1993, a span of sixteen
years. The Crimson has not dropped a game at home to the Big Red
since the 1988 campaign.
The Meg Berte Owen '94 Memorial Award:
The Harvard team is wearing black arm bands in memory of former
Harvard Captain Meg Berte Owen. Meg, captain of the 1993 team,
passed away from lung disease brought on from an earlier battle
with Hodgkin's Lymphomia. Meg's teamates, together with family and
friends, have raised close to $40,000 to endow The Meg Berte Owen
'94 Memorial Award, which will be given annually to the soccer
player that best examplifies Meg's leadership, work ethic, passion,
courage, and sheer determination both on and off the playing
field.
