Hello again, our faithful followers! It has been another
glorious day in Italy. We started our day early with breakfast at
the hotel (which means it was the last chance to stock up on
croissants and nutella packets). And then we were on our way to
beautiful Florence, with a four hour bus ride full of fun! Our bus
ride games included drawing pictures (yes, we are Harvard
students). The beautiful scenery outside was distracting, however,
as we passed through breathtaking Tuscany.
We arrived in Florence and had a brief half hour to try some of
Italy's famous pizza, and then we embarked on a walking guided tour
through the city. We saw the gigantic cathedral (fourth largest in
Europe!) And the fake David, and passed numerous leather goods,
always being sure to keep our belongings very close to us. We spent
a lot of our time looking for leather purses, but settled with
leather friendship bracelets :) And of course, we had to stop by
the most heavenly place on the face of the Earth... The Gelato
Stand. After our walk through the picturesque city of Florence, we
left for the soccer field.
The game against ACF Firenze was a battle, ending in a 2-1
victory by Harvard. Both amazing goals were scored by Tucky... And
we are still left to question What Is That Magic Spray? Now we are
back on the bus after having a scrumptious dinner at a local
restaurant by the field, and are excited for our ventures
tomorrow!!
