The Harvard men's water polo team earned 12 spots on the 2009
Collegiate Water Polo Association Scholar-Athlete Team. A record
310 student-athletes were tabbed to this year's list. The program
honors varsity and club student-athletes who have achieved grade
point averages of 3.2 or higher and competed during the 2009 men's
season.
Sporting a 3.71 to 4.0 grade point average, Egen Atkinson, John
Kolb and Bret Voith earned slots on the Outstanding list. Kevin
DiSilvestro, Alex Thompson, Thomas Bailey, Antone Martinho, Jeff
Lee and Alexandre Popp all owned grade point averages between 3.41
and 3.70, good for a spot on the Superior slate. Mike Katzer,
Nikhil Balaraman and Dan Furman each earned a grade point average
between 3.20 and 3.40, placing the three on the Excellent list.
As a team, Harvard owned the second-best GPA in the CWPA this
season. The Crimson boasted a 3.41 grade point average. Brown
sported a 3.57 grade point average to lead the list.
