Crimson Splits West Coast Doubleheader, Falls to No. 6 Long Beach State, Rebounds Against Cal State Fullerton

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Crimson split its first Saturday of their West Coast games, falling to No. 6 Long Beach State before bouncing back with a win over California State Fullerton in the afternoon.

The Crimson opened the day against a high-powered Long Beach State team and kept things competitive in the early stages. Long Beach pulled away in the second half. Despite the result, Harvard showed offensive strength with multiple multi-goal performances.

In the evening matchup, the Crimson responded with a balanced and commanding team effort to secure their first win of the season against Cal State Fullerton. Strong contributions from across the roster and a standout performance in goal helped seal the result.

Game 1: No. 6 Long Beach State 23, Harvard 13

Jack Burghardt led the Crimson with four goals.
Dean Strauser added three goals and two assists.
Tyler Hogan and Felix Pal each scored twice, with Hogan also tallying two assists.
Jacob Tsotadze and Bradford Dickson each added a goal.
Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan recorded two assists.
Oliver Price made eight saves in net.

Game 2: Harvard 13, Cal State Fullerton 12

Dean Strauser paced Harvard with four goals.
Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan added three goals
Tyler Hogan, Lukas Peabody, Mason Hunt, Jacob Tsotadze, Felix Pal, and Jack Burghardt each scored once.
Oliver Price anchored the defense with 13 saves in goal.
