PRINCETON, N.J. -- The No. 18 Harvard men's water polo team dropped a pair of top-20 match-ups to No. 11 San Jose State and No. 17 Santa Clara at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. The Crimson fell by scores of 13-9 and 13-11 respectively and dropped to 2-7 overall with all seven losses coming to ranked opponents.
In the first game of the day, Harvard trailed the Spartans 8-7 after the third, but SJSU finished the game outscoring the Crimson 5-2 in the fourth to take the win. Sophomore

Clay Carrington (Menlo Park, Calif.) led the Harvard offense with two goals apiece in the opener. Senior goalie
Oliver Price (La Jolla, Calif.) made a season-high 17 saves.
The fourth quarter proved to be the difference maker in the nightcap against Santa Clara. Harvard led 9-8 heading into the final frame, but the Broncos outscored the Crimson 5-2 in the fourth to come-from-behind and steal the result. First-year
Geoff Slutzky (Newport Beach, Calif.) netted a hat trick, while Kim added a second two-goal performance for the day. Freshman goalie
Jonas Ransford (Newport Beach, Calif.) got the start in net and made eight saves.
Harvard wraps up the tournament on Sunday against Navy at 11 a.m.
