TAMPA, Fla. – The Harvard women's soccer team suffered its second straight non-conference loss, dropping a road game at South Florida, 2-1, Sunday afternoon.  Elizabeth Weisman scored the lone goal for Harvard, which sees its record fall to 1-2-1, while South Florida improves its mark to 5-1-1.  In net, Alexandra Millet recorded two saves for the Crimson in the loss. 

After sending a shot high of the net in the opening minutes of the game, Weisman capitalized on her next opportunity, scoring at 10:10 of the first half to give the Crimson an early 1-0 lead.  Patricia Yau handed out the assist on the goal, the first of Weisman's collegiate career. 

In the 17th minute, USF's Venicia Reid tallied the first of her two goals in the half beating Millet at 16:47.  Only 31 seconds later, Reid found the back of the net once again, scoring off a pass from Gina Pacheco at 17:18. 

Alexandra Conigliaro booted Harvard's first shot on goal in the second half, but USF goalkeeper Nicole McClure was there to make the stop at 62:53.  Rebecca Millock followed with another shot on net at 69:42, but McClure also blocked away that attempt for the Crimson.

Harvard earned more corner kicks, 7-3, and had more shots on goal, 5-4, than the Bulls, but USF had a slight edge in shots overall, 8-7.

Harvard returns to Cambridge, Mass., to host local rival Boston University Thursday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. The game will be played at Ohiri Field.
