Melanie Baskind tallied 24 points during her senior season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior co-captain
Melanie Baskind of the Harvard women's soccer team continues
to receive postseason accolades as she has been named to the
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)
All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team.
Baskind, who garnered Capital One Academic All-America first
team honors, was the unanimous choice as the Ivy League Player of
the Year, earning her fourth straight nod to the all-conference
team.
A co-captain of the Crimson, Baskind led Harvard in 2011 to its
third Ivy title in four seasons, reaching the NCAA tournament for
the third time since 2008. Baskind tied for the conference lead
with 24 points, eight goals and eight assists. She also ranks tied
for ssxth in program history with 79 career points, is sixth with
25 assists and stands seventh with 27 goals.
A nominee for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Baskind also
serves as a co-captain of the Harvard women's lacrosse
team.
