The Harvard women's basketball will host its fourth annual
Pink Zone game Saturday, Feb. 19 against Columbia at Lavietes
Pavilion. All proceeds from the event benefit the Kay Yow
WBCA Cancer Fund. The Harvard College Women's Center will be
on hand with informational table, while the Crimson will have
t-shirts, trivia, promotions and prizes throughout the night.
All fans wearing Pink will receive free admission to the game.
Pink t-shirts will be available for a $5 donation in the lobby
throughout the game. For every three-point basket Harvard makes,
the cheerleaders and dance team will throw out three pink t-shirts
into the crowd.
There will be several ways for fans to help support the WBCA Kay
Yow Cancer Fund that week. At the game, all proceeds from the
Cambridge Trust Bounce 4 Bucks will be designated to the charity,
while the winners will receive prizes donated by J.P. Licks. Fans
are asked to make a $1 pledge to receive a raffle ticket for a
one-of-a kind 2009-10 Harvard bench chair signed in pink by the
2010-11 team and coaches. All pledges will be hung in the gym
throughout the game. A pink basketball used throughout the
games' promotions and signed by the team and coaching staff
will be auctioned off on GoCrimson.com/Auctions.
All fans are invited to attend an autograph session after the
game where free team photos will be provided.
Please join the Crimson and help support the fight against
breast cancer!
