Brittany Powell took 16th in the three-meter final at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships (David Silverman).

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Harvard diving corps continued its season at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships last weekend, qualifying a number of divers for the finals at the event.       

On the men's side, the Crimson saw solid performances by all three of its representatives at the meet. Fresh off a victory in the one-meter competition at the 2011 Ivy League Championships, sophomore Michael Stanton finished 13th in the one-meter with a total score of 524.10. Freshman Joe Zarrella also qualified for the one-meter final and placed 16th with a score of 512.75. Harvard also had two divers qualify for the three-meter final, as Zac Ranta placed 13th with 597.85 points and Stanton took 16th with a 580.10-point total.

The Harvard women were well represented at the meet with six competitors in the three-meter event. Brittany Powell led the Crimson, qualifying for the three-meter final and taking 16th overall in the event with a score of 471.25. Leslie Rea represented the Crimson in the one-meter final, claiming 16th with a score of 427.20.

With at least one qualifier in the men's and women's one- and three-meter events, Harvard improved its total number of qualifiers from last season, where four divers made finals at the event.
