CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Radcliffe heavyweight
crew assistant coach Cory Bosworth has been named New England
Assistant Coach of the Year, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches
Association has announced.
Bosworth, who coaches the Radcliffe varsity fours, completed her
ninth season with the Black and White this spring. The varsity four
A showed great improvement during the season, won its event at the
Beanpot and reached the Eastern Association of Women's Rowing
Colleges Sprints grand final. The boat finished the season by
placing second in the third-level final, good for 14th place
nationally, at the NCAA Championships.
“Cory has been an outstanding recruiter, teacher, coach
and mentor throughout her time here at Radcliffe,” head coach
Liz O'Leary said. “Her remarkably positive energy has
helped each athlete both on and off the water. Her understanding
and wisdom give us all perspective and confidence that become the
foundation for training and competition.”
In addition to working with the current Radcliffe squad,
Bosworth plays key roles in recruiting future student-athletes and
working with alumnae. The freshmen she helped bring to Cambridge
for this season made an impact in all of the Black and
White's boats, helping the team reach the NCAA Championships,
where Radcliffe finished 14th as a team.
