The Harvard women's basketball team welcomes five members
of the Class of 2015 this fall. The group was ranked by ESPN as the
31st best recruiting class of 2011. The newcomers, three
forwards and two guards, hail from four different states and the
U.K.
Harvard's Class of 2015 boasts the first ever
McDonald's All-American to make his or her collegiate debut
at an Ivy League school. The group also includes a McDonald's
All-American nominee, a Wendy's Heisman Award finalist (GA)
and Class Valedictorian. All five incoming freshmen were
multisport athletes and were involved in numerous extracurricular
activities and organizations during their high school careers.

“In my 30 years in the league, I have had and seen some
extraordinary classes - this one shoots to the top of the list,
“ said head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith. “Here at Harvard
we recruit student-athletes who combine hard work, strong
character, and desire to build on the winning legacy that is
Harvard Women's Basketball. In addition to being
outstanding basketball players, our incoming freshmen embody these
traits. With the addition of the Class of 2015, we are
extremely excited to continue striving for higher levels of success
while building on the championship tradition we have established
here at Harvard.”
“These young women have been remarkable in all aspects of
their lives, not just as athletes. I am confident they will
