Corbin Miller and the Crimson improved to 2-0 in the Ivy League (Gil Talbot).

HANOVER, N.H. – Corbin Miller led Harvard with 13 points, going 3-of-4 from 3-point range, while Steve Moundou-Missi tallied nine points and two blocks to propel the No. 24 Harvard men's basketball team to a 54-38 win on the road at Dartmouth Saturday evening. With the victory, the Crimson pushes its Ivy record to 2-0, while improving to 16-2 overall.

Keith Wright led the Crimson with seven rebounds, while Brandyn Curry handed out five in a winning effort. Harvard went 8-of-17 (.471) from long distance in the game and outrebounded Dartmouth, 31-28. The Crimson's bench also had a 31-14 advantage in points. Dartmouth's 38 points was the fewest surrendered by the Crimson since a 41-35 win at Dartmouth Jan. 11, 1992.

Jvonte Brooks (12 points, nine rebounds) and Tyler Melville (10) paced the Big Green in scoring. Dartmouth slips to 0-2 in conference action and 4-14 overall.

The Crimson missed its first nine field goals of the game, as the Big Green led, 4-0, at the first media timeout. Wright got Harvard on the scoreboard with a jumper in the lane and then Moundou-Missi followed with a three-point play, as the Crimson cut the deficit to 6-5.With just under 13 minutes to play, Christian Webster nailed a trey from the corner, tying the game, 8-8.

With 9:57 remaining in the opening half, Miller stepped up a buried a triple, giving Harvard a 13-10 advantage. Wesley Saunders made a steal moments later and dished out a pass to Moundou-Missi for a strong, two-handed slam, as Harvard led, 15-10. The Crimson extended its advantage to eight points, 18-10, with a triple by Rivard, Harvard's third 3-pointer of the half. Webster added an acrobatic layup in the pain to give the Crimson a 20-16 lead with less than three minutes to go. Oliver McNally followed with a trey from the top of the key, as Harvard went up by seven, 23-16.

Moundou-Missi and Webster each led Harvard at the break with five points apiece, as the Crimson carried a 23-16 lead into the break. Harvard made 4-of-8 shots from beyond the arc (.500), but was only 8-of-23 (.348) overall from the floor in the first frame. The Crimson held Dartmouth to 6-of-20 shooting (.300), while rebounds were even, 14-14, after the first 20 minutes.

Rivard was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and made two of the ensuing free throws, as Harvard led, 25-16, early in the second. With 13:52 to play, Webster stepped up and drilled a wide-open triple, making it 28-20 in favor of the Crimson. Harvard made its next three baskets, including two by Moundou-Missi, opening a nine-point edge, 34-25.

The Crimson continued to up its lead, as Kyle Casey dribbled along the baseline and finished with a two-handed dunk, 36-25.Wright fed Miller with a pass for a wide-open triple, as the Crimson owned a 39-26 advantage with just under 10 minutes left.  Miller added a jumper before the shot clock could expire, and Casey connected on a basket from the right side, as Harvard began to pull away, 43-26.

With 6:41 left, Casey was fouled going up for a dunk and completed the 3-point play by hitting the foul shot, giving Harvard a 20-point lead, 46-26. Miller made his third triple from the right corner, giving Harvard its largest lead, 49-28.
 
The Crimson will remain on the road and will visit Yale Friday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.
