Berry is now the 10^th leading scorer in Harvard history after leading the Crimson to a 56-44 win at TCU (John R. Posey).

FORT WORTH, Texas – Brogan Berry scored a game-high 17 points to become the 10^th leading scorer in school history, and led the Harvard women's basketball team to a 56-44 victory at TCU Saturday night.

Berry entered the game needing just nine points to move into the top 10, and surpassed Sarah Duncan's '89 career total of 1,228 points midway through the first half. The senior finished her night with 17 points to move her career total to 1,236, shooting 5-of-10 from the floor and 3-of-5 from three.

Missy Mullins corralled a career-high 10 rebounds in her first career start, helping the Crimson (7-6) to a 41-40 edge on the glass. Christine Clark and Victoria Lippert each added 13 points, and combined for 18 points in the second half.

Harvard turned in another sound defensive performance, holding TCU (7-8) to 14-of-59 shooting from the floor and 4-of-18 from three. The Crimson limited UMass to 47 points on Tuesday, marking the first time since 2008 Harvard has held consecutive opponents to less than 50 points. Natalie Ventress led the Horned Frogs with 16 points and six rebounds.

TCU put the game's first points on the board but the Crimson scored 12 straight for a 12-2 lead. Clark opened the scoring with a layup and consecutive baskets by Elise Gordon and Lippert made it a 10-2 game. Berry capped the run off with a drive to the basket that was followed moments later by a Victoria Lippert three-pointer for a 16-4 edge.

Harvard extended its advantage to 24-8 as Berry caught fire from long range. The senior hit three's on consecutive possessions and added another long jumper to give her eight points in three possessions. Her final jumper during the stretch moved her career points total to 1,229, placing her 10^th all-time in Harvard history.

A 10-3 stretch by the Horned Frogs cut the deficit to 27-18, but Berry added her third three of the half to send Harvard into the locker room with a 30-18 lead. Berry led all scorers at the break with 13 points, connecting on 5-of-8 attempts from the floor and 3-of-5 from three. The Crimson limited TCU to just 6-of-23 shooting in the frame and scored 16 points off 10 Horned Frog turnovers.

Harvard pushed its lead to 44-21 with a 14-3 run out of the break. Mullins and Lippert scored on back-to-back possessions to begin the run, and Clark capped it off by scoring eight of the final 10 points. Harvard struggled to find the basket from that point on, however, scoring just seven points over the next 12-plus minutes as the Horned Frogs trimmed its deficit to 11, 51-40, with 3:12 to play.

Berry hit a pair of free throws to move the score to 53-40, but after a Chelsea Prince layup TCU trailed by just nine, 53-44, with 1:06 remaining. Berry then hit 1-of-2 from the line to make it a 10-point game once again and Clark added a pair of her own with 28 seconds on the clock, securing the 56-44 victory.

Harvard will return to the court in its Ivy League opener Saturday, Jan. 14 at Dartmouth. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
